Elephant Ears

This blog is dedicated to the political happenings in the Valley and Southwest Virginia. As the the name implies, this blog will have posts based on what is heard by this elephant's (GOPer's) ears. It is also a great treat to get while at the county fair or a carnival.

First Signs of a Democratic Breakup

Here is an article about how the head of the NAACP of Orange County Fla has become a Republican.
Folks, if the dems lose the NAACP vote, that will be the ultimate end to the democratic party.
This is the first step in the right direction for the African-American community.

Wow: keep dreaming. The guy switched parties so he could get more money. Not exactly a sign of African American voters turning our way.

If you are a moderate D in VA you have a lot to look forward to.

We in the GOP need to look forward and at ourselves. WE are turning from fiscal responsibility. That my friend needs to change.

I don't see any need to insult the host of this blog, i.e. 'it's obvious you're 20.' You can constructively agree or disagree with him, but personal insults are unwarranted.

I agree folks. It doesn't mean anything, but you are seeing more AA folks turning our way. It will obviously be a slow process to get a large number of them voting GOP, but I believe eventually it may happen.
