New Blog
There is a new blog the Mason Conservative. It looks pretty good. I don't agree with his "NOVA is the answer to everything" approach necessarily, but overall he has a very good message.
Also, his mission is to "turn Fairfax red" which we all hope he succeeds in doing. He will need all the help he can get in that endeavor.

Actually, he notes that he is trying to turn NOVA red, not just Fairfax. You are right that even that will be difficult, but we Republicans need to try.
I am glad to see young GOPers like you and Mason so involved. Having tried and mostly failed to motivate YRs and other young folks in NOVA to actually do something in politics, I find your blogs and perspectives refreshing. I hope the election results one week ago will help wake up our other young friends.

I have to add that both parties should have an interest in creating/developing a farm team of activists, campaign workers, and government aides. I've seen situaitons on both sides where up and comers are pushed aside or ignored b/c the establishment has too much interest in promoting itself and maintaining status quo.

Thanks for the kind words. I too hope this past election wakes some folks up, but from what I have seen so far, thats not going to happen.
There is a "2 out of 3 ain't bad" attitude.

The GOP would be happy to trade AG and LG for the big G. We need to open our eyes and look at this defeat...and LEARN FROM IT.
I like Bolling and McDonnell just not out front of our party. Giving the nomination to Bolling or even McDonnell will result in another Dem. governor.

THANKS FOR THE PLUG!
You all can call me Chirs, I call it Mason because I am a grad student at George Mason University (greatest college ever! I was an undergrad their, too, after one pitiful year at Randolph-Macon)
I don't think NoVa is the answer to everything, just most things :-D.
Let me send ya'll over to a buddy of mine and his blog. Its not political per say, and not really about Virginia, but he's a great writer who looks at interesting issues and has great takes. For a change of pace, I reccomend it highly.

Well Chris, with intentions like yours, you're gonna need all the help you can get. If you succeed, you can pretty much do anything you want in thr VAGOP.
Good luck.

Next time, they are NOT draining all our manpower into a halfass 72hr plan. We're going to hold down the polls, like we did when Gilmore and Allen won.

I agree 100% with ya there anon. I think the way the 72 hour program was run hurt us as much as anything. It still didnt cause Kilgore's loss though.
