Reid Retiring
As many of you have probably seen, Del. Jack Reid is retiring. He is supposed to have a press conference at the Capitol tomorrow to make his formal announcement.
It appears that Jimmie Massie III will be the GOP nominee for the seat. I don't know very much about him other than he owns some type of consulting business (James Massie III Inc) and is a local Republican activist. The GOP local leadership is going to get behind Massie so it appears a shoo-in for the nomination.
Its a solid GOP district, so I cannot imagine the dems having much of a chance here. We will see if they even run anybody.

I am fairly certain Linwood will not be running for the seat (although I would love to see it).

I can assure you that Linwood Cobb in not running for Delegate Jack Reid's House seat. I am 100% behind James Massie's bid for the Republican nomination in the 72nd.
Jimmie is a very respected and accomplished businessman with deep family roots in Henrico. Jimmie has been a strong supporter of the Republican party and our candidates as well as a strong supporter of conservative causes.
