Marcus Vick is Done
VT President Charles Steger annouced today that Marcus has been kicked off the football team permanently. Hokiesports.com has the article. I assume he will now transfer to to a Div. I-AA team (like JMU hopefully) or enter the NFL draft, which he must declare for by January 15th.
I believe this was a good decision on the part of the administration and coaches. I am also pleased that we will see if Ike Whitaker is as good as advertised.
Shound be an interesting next year.
UPDATE: I have seen a post that claims that Marcus was kicked off the team because he was black. The charge is being levied that if this would been done by a white player, they would have not been removed. VT apparently can't win. Many called for Marcus to be kicked off the team, and now others are getting mad that he was removed. Amazing.

This only goes to back up my claims earlier this year during the Miami- Tech game that certain Hokies are criminals.
Defensive players will remember this and take every available cheap shot at Vick they can. He should just give up football so he doesn't get hurt.

NFL?!?!?! Be serious!!!
I highly doubt that Vick even goes in the first round, if he goes at all. Teams will not care to spend their millions on a failure of a human being.Even if he does get drafted, players like Marcus Vick don't fare too well in the NFL. Name me one player that was a first-class thug for three years of college ball and then became a productive NFL player? They may be a small few, but they usually don't some in the form of QBs. Goodbye Marcus. You can now join the ranks of wasted talent and irrelevancy. Meet Lawrence Phillips and Maurice Clarrett.

He obviously won't be a first round draft pick, but he will probably be picked up by someone. He is a Vick, and that will draw people to the stadium, even if for only one game.
Besides, Michael has enough money for the both of them anyway.

Your threat I'm sure has been duly noted by JMU officials....Mickey Matthews in particular, and will be calling off the proposed recruiting trip to Hampton......
