Elephant Ears

This blog is dedicated to the political happenings in the Valley and Southwest Virginia. As the the name implies, this blog will have posts based on what is heard by this elephant's (GOPer's) ears. It is also a great treat to get while at the county fair or a carnival.

9th District Fundraising

We now have the reports for the campaigns in the 9th district.
Allen Dudley: $146,295 Raised, $124,473 Cash on Hand
Eric Ferguson: $114,488 Raised, $48,889 Cash on Hand
Folks, I don't think Ferguson will ever be able to overcome the money advantage Dudley commands at this point. He may pull the upset without the money, but I am doubting it very seriously.

I ams till waiting on reports for David Young (R) from the 10th and Benny Keister (D) in the 6th. Once I get those I will update those races as well.
Are there any other races you folks wanna know about?

So you're assuming that Allen Dudley can neutralize harboring illegal aliens, his son's failed judgeship, no appropriations over the past two years to his district, and rumors of filandering for $124,473?

Eric Ferguson is spending his money on offense. If it were reversed and Allen were on offense I think your comments would make sense. But this is not the case. It takes more money to play defense than offense.

    Yes exactly.
So if Dudley has more money, he can even the offense-defense setup.
Hes the imcumbent so he will have the advantage.
I don't know enough about the situation to say he will destroy Ferguson, but I think Dudley will win this election unless things change.
