Elephant Ears

This blog is dedicated to the political happenings in the Valley and Southwest Virginia. As the the name implies, this blog will have posts based on what is heard by this elephant's (GOPer's) ears. It is also a great treat to get while at the county fair or a carnival.

Lohr Loses It All?

Republitarian seems to think Fulk will win Harrisonburg and the county.
Interesting assessment but I have the opposite view. I think Lohr wins the county and the city.
I have some new info as well.
I have heard differing stories on Lohr's poll. One source says that Matt Lohr was leading by 7-8 points, the exact opposite of the Fulk poll. My other source says Lohr found out the exact same thing as Fulk (Lohr down 7-8 points).
I am just wondering if anyone else has heard this (the Lohr lead, NLS and others have claimed Fulk is ahead).

You're dreaming about Lohr winning the city. Dreaming.
Republitarian is dreaming about Fulk winning the county. The people who think Lohr is a more difficult opponent than Weatherholtz (ineffective, yes, but a Republican incumbent) are smoking serious weed. And we're all dreaming if we think the DNR is going to do anything seriously important in covering this race.

Well I guess time will tell about it all.
One question I do have though saywhat, what is your prediction for the election?

No saywhat, you are not dreaming, the boys at the DNR will step up to the plate. WRITE IT DOWN!!!!!

I would not make such a bold prediction if I didn't have FACTS on which to base my prediction....now would I?

Lowell has just as good a shot at winning the county as Matt does.

    GOPhokie,

I have no precise prediction. I really want Fulk to win, and I think it's entirely possible. I believe you overestimate Lohr. If Fulk supporters work hard enough (I have no doubt he will himself) and if the electorate is truly informed (OK, maybe I'm dreaming there), then Fulk wins. Lohr is a Republican. There's really not much else to say about him and hopefully this time out, the simple R behind his name won't be enough to ensure victory.

Well one thing that could play a role in this election is the 72-Hour program.
If in fact Fulk has support from Republicans (Hard Rs, not people who just usually vote that way), then Fulk could be the beneficiary of the increased turnout.
If that is not the case, I don't think he has a chance.

Why you lay claim to knowing what the fulk results are is a great question to me. We already know that the lohr poll wasn't kind to lohr. We already know that he is down in his own survey. We already know (thanks to republitarian) what questions his survey asked. We have been given this information by people who were "inside" his campaign. The only thing you have reported about fulk is pure speculation. Fulk's campaign disipline is astounding. We know from the sheer number of mind numbing press releases the lohr campaing sends out on any and all possible issues that if they had any good news from their poll they would have been screaming victory. There has only been silence, really deadly quiet from his team.

Actually anon, I heard those were the results and I wanted to see if anyone else had heard what they were.
It turned out no one really had.
I also have heard Lohr's poll found he (Lohr) was leading.
Most of this is hard to say though, since I personally have never seen the poll results of either campaign.
