Elephant Ears

This blog is dedicated to the political happenings in the Valley and Southwest Virginia. As the the name implies, this blog will have posts based on what is heard by this elephant's (GOPer's) ears. It is also a great treat to get while at the county fair or a carnival.

Sheehan for Senate

ABC News is reporting that war critic Cindy Sheehan has announced she may challenge Sen. Dianne Feinstein for her "support of the war".
I am interested in seeing if the media still salivates over Mrs. Sheehan if she makes good on this campaign. That certainly does not fit her purpose of slaming Bush for the war, she has now moved onto slaming dems. Will she continue to be the poster child of the anti-war movement?

No disagreement from me on that comment.

You are absolutely dead on GOPHokie; when she's a thorn in Bush's side, ... lead story, network news; front page above the fold NYT -

When she turns her attention toward Diane Feinstein, she'll be yesterday's news. Forgotten.

Of course, now that Feinstein caved and voted for filibuster, I am sure Ms. Sheehan will find a new reason to run-if only to ensure she can continue to live in the spotlight...

On the other hand, this is a bold step towards bi-partisanshp.

DiFei is eminently preferable to that loon.

Sheehan is the best thing that could ever happen to Feinstein... She makes Feinstein look somehow more conservative.

Probably the same with Leslie Bynre and Tim Kaine.... (Kaine wishes he could say what Byrne does)

    I agree, Spank.
