DNC Wants Huckabee?
I didn't have to read this article to think he was a horrible candidate for the GOP, this just reinforces it.
I would feel much better about 2008 if we had someone in our field that everyone had at least a favorable opinion of.
Of course that being said, the dems may still make one of the most colossal mistakes of modern poltics by nominating the former first lady.
How would 2 of the worst candidates in modern history play out?

Let's talk VT football....
Virginia Tech football coach Frank Beamer said, "In my
opinion, Michael Vick is a good person with a good heart..."

Everyone has a right to their opinion. After all Michael Vick didn't graduate from VT, but joined the NFL. When he played for Beamer, that was his impression, but that was quite a few years ago.Michael got caught up in the mire that alot of the NFL players fall into, but he wasn't as lucky as lots of the others have been. When you go most of your life being poor, it is difficult to handle a windfall like the salary he was getting and he thought he could make a difference in his neighborhood. He did a lot of good and he also made a major mistake that he will pay for for the rest of his life.

Romney and company...and matt drudge is very friendly with romney's guys...are pushing that story because with no money huckabee is going to take down romney in iowa. Huck spends 300K to Romney's 7million...and is winning.

John,
Sorry to see your opinion of Huckabee. I am supporting him because I think he's got the best shot, in what should be a hard year for the GOP. I hear from local Dems that Huckabee is their worst nightmare. They would much rather run against Rudy, Romney or Thompson. If the DNC comes out firing against Huck, it will only increase his appeal to conservative Republican primary voters. It's a planned silence....but that's just my opinion!
Hope you are doing well.

Zak,
Don't get me wrong; I don't really like any of our current candidates (like half of the GOP), but I think Huckabee has some things that will be a big liability for him and the party in 2008.

Just tell me how huckabee is going to keep from being Willie Horton'd, and I would have more faith in his political viability. Oh, yeah, there is that big time spending thing.

Interesting post, Elephant Ears... since they are both bad candidates, I think it would come down to who could turn out :-)
