Rockingham GOP
There is a new valley related political site in the blogosphere. Rockingham GOP is a new blog dedicated to "ensure that all current and future Republicans elected from the county actually further government toward the goals of limited government and personal responsibility."
Mind you that this site is the not the offical site of the Rockingham County Republican Party.
Apparently I need to change my mission statement to include "supporting Mark Obenshain" since apparently I am the only GOPer in the blogosphere who supports him and thinks he is doing a good job.

have you ever thought there is a reason you are the only one that supports him. You said it yourself, you haven't been around along time

biz,
you dream. obenshain is looking like a one term wonder.
republitarian has nothing to do with it, he doesn't make all that much difference, he just points it out. mark has screwed up and EVERYONE who matters is losing any confidence. he's spending any and all political capital that he may still posses on this stupid lohr venture and for what? he'd do well to remember that when he was elected many who voted for him here, also voted for fulk. guess that's what happens when ego prevails over judgement. republitarian is a symtom of something much much bigger. if people were happy do you think anyone would pay any attention? duh! the dumbass spent ALL THAT MONEY in the primary then to not have the courage to let it go to a vote... what a sissy. do you for one moment think that ANYONE who felt screwed in '03 has FORGOTTEN? now this!? fulk won't challenge obenshain in two years, but a challenge is coming biz, from someone who is known throughout the district. mark better begin raising money now...

I will be interested to see who this mysterious person will be. I agree that Fulk will probably not run against Mark, regardless of the outcome of the race this year.
By the way, if Obenshain needs to start raising money now, his opponent better start getting his/her name out there.
Of course, not knowing who that is, perhaps they already have.

Yea we are setting ourselves up for that.
If Fulk happens to win this year it will be even more interesting.

I asked Lowell that very question last week at the fair and he told me that he just wants to run for the house. This isn't a stepping stone for him, he just wants to do a good job in this office.

I don't think this is meant to me a stepping stone. Even so, I can bet you alot of dems will try to convince Fulk to run against Obenshain in 07 if he wins this year (since hes basically running against Mark anyway, at least thats what some people think).

Hokie, you make a good point that I hadn't considered. Thank you!
Come to think about it Mark has had as many or more quotes in the paper than Matt, about Matt's race!

Everything has been a stepping stone for Lohr. A photo opportunity. A resume' builder. What has he done to completion? What has he accomplished? What has he given to his community? Everything he has done has been to promote himself. How much of what he has, has he earned and paid for? Do me and you both a favor GOPHokie, compare the two, not a surface comparison like you've done elsewhere on this page, but a real study of them both. Do it honestly and then, because if you honestly look you'll see what I see, I will give you your own Fulk for Delegate bumper sticker and sign........

Well why don't you just give me the in-depth comparison yourself. Its alot easier to convince someone of something when you explain to them why you did it (kinda like bringing someone to Christ, its easier to do if you have an occurance that led you to him).
